Today I received a request for help from a woman who is sick, discouraged and lonely. Because she knows that I’ve faced difficult times myself, she felt she could share her dark moment with me, and I’m glad she did.
As I sat down to respond to her, I realized how many others are also struggling now, just as she is. These times are not for the fainthearted, and as I thought of this, I asked myself, “Who isn’t affected by the darkness of these times?” And in that moment the answer came back to me. “No one.”
This is not a time to attempt to ‘go it alone’ or to ‘tough it out.’ At this time, human beings really need each other. And we have each other. After all, we are a family, and within this lighted family, we cast the Net of Light for all beings, we reach out, and we pull together. We share our stories and we uplift one another.
For example, when people contact us at Net of Light, the Light Weavers respond to each request for help they receive while Katie Mac refers people to any of the Net of Light sources they may need. Louise works with the Beacons all across Canada, Christine supports the Net of Light teams in Europe as well as in the South Pacific, while Pam handles all the Beacons in the United States. Sanne and Nicole have successfully launched the Grandmothers’ work in Germany. Christa is at work, mending relationships between the men and women in South Africa, while Antanina is busy translating a Grandmothers’ book into Lithuanian, Nadia is translating into Dutch, Bilge into Turkish, and Mirian into Portuguese. Kate and Nadia support all our electronic communications while the Beacon and Zoom leaders across the world steadily guide their groups forward. Everyone helps in passing on the Grandmothers’ Empowerment on to any new people who request it. And all of us are happy to contribute however we can. The Grandmothers’ ‘work’ brings us great joy and, though none of us are paid for anything we do, we gratefully pull together.
So, when I received this morning’s request for help, I was overcome with gratitude—gratitude that someone in need would trust us enough to ask for help, and gratitude for the generous people who stand together and give to others. How precious—this sort of selfless giving! I am full of thanks for each person who has stepped up at this difficult time to share the Grandmothers’ message with a friend or a stranger and to anchor the Net of Light at her or his home place on Earth. Each one is doing great good.
What we are living through now on Earth is the dark night of the human soul, and yet, as I look around, I see shining SO much light. Thank you, thank you each one of you who anchor and magnify the power of the Net of Light at this critical time on our planet. As the Grandmothers say, “You truly are walking blessings upon the earth.”
Loving you now and always,
Sharon
